8" tube rings

Hi all, my 8" revelation came this morning at 10am, setup and ready to use by 10.10 , but i wanted to mount this scope on a CG-4 mount, James you said that you thought it would be usable, but where can i get the tube rings, the places that i have seen want about £40 is this the going rate or am i looking in the wrong place?

I am going to try the same thing on an oldish EQ5 mount.

I ordered the 236mm rings from Rother Valley Optics and a 30cm dovetail bar.

Still waiting their arrival 10 days on

I think the 236mm will be a bit big but will pad them with something.

Total cost is around £60 including delivery but it should make maximum use of the scope

According to my bathroom scales, the OTA with all its bits on weighs about 9Kg

so hoping the mount will hold it ok.

I believe 9kg is the upper limit for a CG4/EQ3, so it should be OK on either mount.
