ic1318 with quattro 150

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

We're in the process of taming a Quattro and have reached the coma corrector guessing (sic) game.

One thing we've noticed is that it doesn't do well with the outer stars -as here- with a filter on telescope end of the cc. It's been suggested putting the filter closer to the sensor should tame the stars. Confirmed that this is the filter as without, the stars are fine. Well, as fine as they'll ever be in a Quattro.

Thanks for looking and anyone who has the spacing nailed for the q150, please share your millimetres. Here we're at 54mm having decided 55mm was too far. We'll continue to count down...

I can remember the same issue, I ended using a low profile t ring with individual spacers, i cant remember exactly off my head, i think I was playing around with 53mm -/+ 0.5

Also I changed the focuser collar to a 3 thumbscrew collar, so equally the CC is central in the focuser.
