Yesterdays Sun and Poor Televue Images

I don't usually image the Sun but as the front of my telescope had some type of foil for this purpose (left on by the previous owner) I thought why not?

I attached my Zwo ASI294MC Pro with a UV filter to my SW200P telescope and aimed it at the Sun (I removed the coma corrector as I didn't think I needed it here).

I did best 10% of 2000frames using Firecapture (managing 19fps) and Autostakkert software.

I put the resultant 'stacked' image into Registax and then tweaked it in Photoshop CS.

The resultant Image showing the sunspot clusters labelled AR3716, AR3713 ans AR3712 came out quite nice I reckon.

I then tried attaching a Televue Powermate x2.5 to the imaging train but as you can see the images did not come out very good at all.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to clean the inside of a Televue it would be most appreciative!!

CC's welcome.

A series of flats ought to clean the image up. Easier than trying to clean the PM. 😃 The square artifacts look like they're from AutoStakkert.
