asiair plus query

Last week I upgraded from my cranky old CG5 GT to a SW EQ6 r pro. I connected the mount to my asiair plus with a USB printer cable using EQMOD & 115200 Baud in the mount settings and it connects fine  and works as expected except the slew buttons. With the CG5 I could slew the mount with the direction buttons on the asiair, but the new mount doesn't seem to respond. With the asiair connected I can slew using the handcontrol. Am I missing something?

Is there a SW mount option rather than eqmod?

Many thanks for the response & suggestions Elp.

Error on my part- in my excitement I didn't check the slew rate which was set to an imperceptible slow rate , although I could feel my 'phone vibrate when touching the buttons  so I should have realised!
