Looking for info on this vintage tasco telescope

I believe it to be from the 1960s or maybe early70's but I'm trying to find exactly what year and if this thing is actually rare or not

Hang around and somebody knowledgeable may give you a report.  Being made in Japan, it could be of good quality. OTOH, the "600x" is obviously a lure for unwary newbies.

It certainly wasn't one of  the scopes listed in the UK when I was the Product Manager for Tasco in the early 1980's.  We didn't cater for the serious astronomer  back then, with the 4.5" 11TR being the largest model imported.
