An amazing evening. The forecast was good enough for me to set up the scope down the garden to enable a rare view of the southern skies. in all I managed to view 30 new objects (21 of which were Messiers), many very appealing. A few are attached below. 80mm ED GP290M camera.

Nice pictures - and the stars aren't looking blobby now. Did you do anything different this time?

Not sure when I'll get another clear night, and nights are getting shorter. :(

Nothing different. Folks locally suggested it was just down to atmospheric conditions previously.

I also observed the Whale Galaxy for the first time the other night and thought it was very impressive. I wasn't aware of the Siamese Twins but it's now on my list to try.
