Registax problem

what am I doing wrong my image of the 26 hour old moon 10 frames of 2MB jpegs taken with my canon 40d DSLR is all in bits.

I tried to align the images using the multipoint alignment tool.

Why is the image fragmented like this (I hope the image has attached)

Try aligning on one point, the multi point can be a bit picky.

What are you aligning on? If you're not already, try and make the alignment area a high constrast area and try making the alignment box bigger.

What version of Regi are you using ? You could try using the centre of gravity alignment tool in Regi 5 that might work better.

I'm using Regi4 currently. I will try for Regi 5

I was aligning on a feature at the centre of the crescent -quite high contrast area. I have got the same problem with a half moon with plenty of contrast.
