Iris Neb Borg and ART

Hello,

A change of pace and a different type of object this time!!! See Rog i do nebs still!!!! I`ve been doing galaxies every clear period i`ve had recently but this time i fancied a neb...

Ok then this is 18 x 10 mins with the Borg and ART285. Guided via Guidemaster using the 66SD and QHY5. Captured using Maxim, dark and flats subtracted. Post processing with PS CS3. This really needs colour!!!! But i didn`t finish it until 5am and then i had to be up at 7.30am for work!!!!

Good, particularly the outer dust regions which should be great in colour. Maybe - I hate to say this to a sleep-deprived man - you could ease down the central star a bit?

Yes Olly your right it is a bit over the top!!! Need to learn layer masking me thinks!!!

Yea, the processing is always harder than getting the image it seems..... I always thought it would be the other way around....Great shot though....

Very nice Alan, I know what you mean about the colour but the mono has that 'eeriness' that the colour doesn't have.
