Last night was cool - in more ways than one

Not a bad couple of hours. Plenty to examine today. I create calibrated FITS files from the images using Astrometry.net. I then drop them into Aladin and overlay SIMBAD data and compare them to various professional survey images. Good fun.

Favourite image of the session was NGC7479.

 

That being said, I did see the Horsehead Nebula for the first time. That was exciting but the image is a bit too faint to be worth sharing.
