IC1848 - Soul Nebula - OSC SHO

Hi All.

I'm not yet at the stage of moving onto mono imaging (am only a year in so I think that will happen at some point next year) although given my central London skies narrowband is the best way to go for most things.  I am however playing around with using a L-Extreme (Ha+Oiii) and an Askar D2 (Sii+Oiii) to create SHO images.   Obviously it's not perfect given the sensor but it's good practice for when I move to mono (capturing with different filters, learning PI processing etc).

Here is an attempt from last week, weather wasn't great but managed to get 4 hours with the L-Extreme and 3 hours with the D2.  The data from the D2 wasn't as clear (as expected) but I think it still adds another dimension to shooting with an OSC.

Any tips welcome!

MM
