Jason M
Hi all I have an az-gti with a Skymax 127mm. I only intend to use for visual. The mount has the EQ firmware installed when I bought it. This means that when aligning, the position of the red dot on the mak is on the underside of the scope as it it right sided when aligning. I want to reset the mount so the scope will be become left sided when aligning and therefore red dot is more easily used. Can anyone help with a reset instruction ? TerraC
You would need to flash the AZ-GTI with an original non EQ firmware to go back to left arm control. This would put the AZGTI back into ALT-AZ mode. This link should give you instructions and links to the firmware and loader you will need to do this. You can flash back and forth with any firmware on the AZGTI. https://www.astropills.com/blog/how-to-update-your-sky-watcher-az-gti-firmware Hope that helps.
