Starsense explorer 6” DX

They sell these in Europe, but not in the USA. The only SCT in the Starsense range is the 5”DX

Does anyone have the 6 inch version and if so, how is the mount holding up to it?

I put my sky prodigy 6 inch SCT on my DX mount and it seem to be able to handle it well

The reason they stopped at the 5” for that particular mount was that they deemed the 6” too heavy for the mount.

FLO sells the 6 inch version.

I bought this one for my daughter.   The 6” set was very well priced compared to a singlr black sct6.  But the mount….that thing is….*%#}[#.   
 

perfect for entry into astronomy but once you know how a solid mount feels, you’ll never touch that dx version again.  Which is no problem because they don’t actually charge you for it
