The tidal streams seen here are faint. Trust me! I have previously laid siege to them with the TEC140/CCD rig.

This second attempt comes from just 4 hours with RASA 8/ASI2600 MC Pro/Avalon linear, expertly driven by Paul Kummer, the data pre-processd by him as well. What you see is a close crop from a focal length of just 400mm. There are very nice tiny galaxies as well. Distance to this interacting pair is nearly 80 million LY.

Great image! Actually quite spectacular. Nothing like a RASA if you want to capture both dust and galaxies! First I wondered why I missed this spectacular galaxy and then I realized that it is the same one I captured with my 14" Meade a few years ago - without tidal streams and not much dust, so very different, and I see your point about your old TEC image.

Surprisingly detailed given this much cropping of this pair what Stellarium says is only about 6 arcminutes across. Only 4 hours too!

Sounds too good to pass, im going to try and blatantly copy this framing with my 1018mm fl newt 👍.

You'll enjoy it. It's a great target, pointed out to me by a guest. My ideal choice would be a RASA 11, I think, with the 2600 chip.
