full moon processing challenge

Hi everyone

Full moon last night to illuminate the high altitude Mediterranean haze. We could just about make out Cygnus and Cassiopeia.
The gradient was such that the immediate reaction was not to bother, but armed with a moderate hammer, you really don't need to reserve these sort of nights for testing. Clusters seem good targets to choose.

Cheers and thanks for reading. Anyone other dslr imagers out last night?

Nicely done!

I was going to try for M13 the night before last and was just focusing on the target when I notice a Moonbow in front of the hills on the other side of the loch, so closed the roof on the Obsy before the shower started.

Sadly, that was the end of the session because the clouds never really cleared enough to try again.

Clusters make good targets for the full Moon because you can reduce the exposure time on the individual subs to limit the sky-glow / Moon-glow and the overall integration time doesn't need to be hours. So for a short session between clouds they make a good choice. :D
