Focuser on Orion UK VX8

Hi all,

I am currently getting back into the hobby and have just bought a Orion UK VX8 and a NEQ6. I would like to motorise the focuser and was wondering which focus motors to look at. I‘d like to control the focuser via Astroberry or a similar solution. I did read somewhere that the focuser on the VX8 is actually a Baader, but am unable to find that info again. I would appreciate some guidance on the topic.

Hi Oliver and welcome to SGL 👍

Perhaps your focuser has a problem that you’re hoping to sort with a motor?  If so there’s adjustments available on that focuser you could try.
