Crescent and surrounding nebulosity

I recently posted a four-panel mosaic of the Sadr region of Cygnus using data from Pier 14 at Roboscopes in Spain.

I was intrigued by the way that the Crescent Nebula popped out and seemed to have a wave breaking over it. So I reprocessed just that section to get this. Trying, not entirel successfully to pull the wave out a bit more:

On reflection, I think I went over the top on contrast, saturation and sharpening. It looked fine on Pixinsight after several hours of processing, but now after conversion to JPG and seeing it on another screen it looks rather lurid. O think I like this version better:

I guess the lesson is that image processing is like writing. What looks great after a long session may look crap the following morning. Don't be in so much of a hurry to post!
