The Double Double in Lyra

Roy Foreman

Recommended Posts

Trawling through old data from 2019 I found this, an image of the double double in Lyra with all four components resolved.

Taken with a 16" Newt and Nikon D810a.

Single 1/4 sec exposure at ISO 200

I've included a couple of crops in case the individual stars don't show up.

Hope you find it interesting.

Thank you Mick.  I saw this as a bit of a challenge as the 2.3" separation between the pairs in mostly below the seeing limit at my site.  I think I must have got lucky because in a whole sequence of images, this was the only one that 'beat the seeing'

Glad you appreciate the image

Roy
