Polar scope

I took my polar scope reticule out to clean it put it back in the right configuration and now I have polar caps I can keep dust and dirt from it. 

Now had it out last night I had screwed everything in solid looked through the circle was blurred but Polaris was sharp when I adjusted it the circle was sharp but I couldn't see polaris I had to guess where to align it. 

It wasn't like this before now have I put the reticule in the wrong way round or is it something else please.
