autostar + phd

Can you use the autostar suite with phd guideing at he same time as i am not having any look with maxIm dl when connecting Phd through ascom it says cannot use the same telescope or somthing like that so i am going just to import my pics from imaging source to MaxIm for proscessing

On most mounts, you cannot connect two applications to the same scope at the same time. The only exception ot this is:

Using EQMOD on the EQ mounts

or

Using the ASCOM POTH dummy mount (get POTH to connect to the mount itself, get your apps to connect to the ASCOm POTH dummy mount)

Also the AP mounts have two RS232 inputs - I have TheSky6 connected via one, PHD via the other.

edit: but, yeah, most have to go via POTH
