March New Moon Spotting

It’s nearly time for my monthly New Moon spotting challenge. I use the term New Moon in its classical sense of one’s first sighting of the Moon after its monthly solar conjunction (Dark Moon). Sharp-eyed observers may attempt to spot the nearly two-day-old Moon after sunset on Sunday, March 14th.

Photos and descriptions of the young crescent Moon this month would be welcome additions to this thread.

I had a nice view of the new 5% Moon this evening around 6:30pm between low clouds at sunset. It was already quite low in the sky  but I pointed my 180 SW Mak at it anyway - it's not often I get to see this area of our Moon. The seeing was pretty poor as I expected at this altitude, I stayed around 80-100x.  Mare Humboldtianum was very prominent on the limb and I also spotted three craters south of it: Gauss, Berosus and Hahn. I don't get to see these very often so quite pleased overall :)
