M81/2 with the TMB and Artemis - and 'that' flat field

Hi all,

a bit of clear sky turned up last night, enough time to get three hours on this galaxy pair before the TMB crashed into the pier. It was windy and a bit misty so I didn't expect much but the result wasn't so bad. Certainly capable of having a lot more data added to it.

I really wanted to see what the TMB Artemis combination could do with some decent flats so I stayed up and took the flats in the obs using a doubly diffused white board. The stars at the corner of the field are not so good, that did not surprise me at all. What did get my attention was the final, properly flatted result. I have shown two single subs that have been radically stretched. The difference from corner to centre is barely 2% after the flat field. Seems like the TMB really can support a 35mm field.
