NGC 7635 Bubble Nebula - Zenithstar 73 II

I took the H-alpha in November and because of the bad weather, had to wait until January for the Oiii. It was -3C when I finished and the whole observatory was covered in ice!

HOO palette, modified to show the blue oxygen regions. I'm also thinking about adding RGB stars at a later stage.

30 x 360s each, H-alpha and Oiii with darks, flats and dark flats. Total exposure time 6 hours.

William Optics Zenithstar 73 II, ASI294MM Pro.

Looks great Tony!

Plenty of signal in Sh2-161 too and NGC 7538 looks great (as with M52).

I also think I got part of the Cave Nebula at the bottom of the image, which I'd like to get more of. Just need some clear nights!

At the bottom is Sh2-157 (aka lobster claw).  I think the cave nebula is off frame further up and to the right (from this framing fov).  I only know this as I imaged the same region but at a shorter focal length and was hoping to squeeze the cave in, but couldn't!

I've had a quick root about in CdC.  Sh2-155 is the cave nebula.

Good luck with either target.  If they look like your image above, you'll be on to a winner!

Thanks for this. I was just checking where the Cave Nebula actually is and it's not where I thought it was! 😀

It's the Lobster Claw that I like the look of.
