Need a good article to give a beginner choosing first scope

So someone messaged me the other day asking me what telescope I would advise him for his daughter who is interested in astronomy. They are complete beginners, don't own a telescope and don't know where to start. As usual it's the 'don't have a lot to spend' but want something that will be worthwhile. Does anyone have a good article, post, guide or anything I could pass their way as its a big subject to explain to someone new to astronomy and I want something to give them something that will help them.
