Can't collimate

I'm a newbie. Tried to collimate my Skywatcher 240 Dobsonian and apparently misaligned it. Had the secondary mirror lined up, but when I adjusted the primary mirror it became impossible to collimate. Now, even when I keep the laser from reflecting off the wall it's impossible to line up the 2ndary mirror. Is there a starting point for the primary mirror? Any help would be appreciated.
