GPS from phone to Astroberry via Bluetooth

Recommended Posts

Hi,

can anyone recommend an app on Android that will serve GPS data to Astroberry server via Bluetooth? I've got "Bluetooth GPS output" but that doesn't seem to work

TIA

I successfully used Share GPS on my android devices to feed GPS data to EKOS/KStars via the GPSNMEA Indi driver but that was via WiFi. So long as the  RasPi and mobile device are on the same network they'll find each other via the IP address of the mobile device - all set up via the GPSNMEA driver selected as an aux in the EKOS equipment profile.

However, looking at the instructions for ShareGPS will work over Bluetooth but requires a bit of setting up (as it did via WiFi). And that I can't help with!

Since shelving the Pi I've got a GPS dongle that connects to my Linux imaging mini PC via USB. Life is simpler now!
