Adaptor

Hello , I have a Lx55 eq mount with no telescope and I would to use it for astrophotographers and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to adapt a canon camera to the mount .

It has been suggested I manufacture an adaptor or find a telescope and remove the adaptor from that and make something to fit..

any ideas?
