Coma corrector help.

Recommended Posts

hi all.

My skwatcher coma corrector arrived yesterday.

I'm somewhat confused.

Ok I need 55 mm from coma corrector to camera sensor.

The camera sensor is set back 20mm so 35mm gap now required. That bits fine.

However I've noticed the glass in the coma corrector is set back 16mm

Do I have to take this 16mm into account or just have 35mm spacer.

Its a skywatcher 2" coma corrector if this helps.

Thanks in advance.

The 55mm is taken from the knurled flange on the CC.

Depending on the camera, you may need an adapter/spacer (sorry, on phone so can't see your sig/equipment list). There's a good one for Canon cameras, although a little expensive!
