RAW Images - After Processing ?

You can regard the raw files as your negatives and as such they would normally want to be saved for posterity... especially if a single finished image comes from a single raw frame... however if you are taking loads of raws and stacking them then they do take up a lot of space... so it might be better to regard the output of the stacking program as the "negatives' and archive these instead but only if you are sure that you have got the best possible stacking result out of the raw data... its worth spending the time checking the individual raws before stacking rather than relying on the software culling "dodgy" frames properly ... Recordable DVD's make a cheap method of backing up either the raw files or the stacked images or both.....
