Jupiter and Saturn 30th May 2020

About 3.15am, I ventured out to photograph the gas giants using just a 4.5 inch reflector. The purpose was to show (literally), that a large telescope isn't necessary to get views of these planets.

Conditions weren't optimal, due to some faint clouds, but allowing for that, the results weren't too bad. I did have better views with the same telescope a couple of weeks ago.

Equipment used was a 20 year old Meade 114-900, 10mm MA eyepiece and a Samsung galaxy A20e smartphone (hand held).
