Dark spots near Watford/Hertfordshire

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend any dark spots near Watford or Hertfordshire? I am a newbie trying to get better shooting the night sky (moon, stars, milky way etc.) but struggling to find dark enough areas away from city light to do this. 

I found a couple of old posts but they were dated 2013 so I don't know if these has been any updates since. I am struggling to find suitable locations and there has to be a community that get together in Hertfordshire and know of locations right?
