Orion & Taurus Widefield (UHC)

Recommended Posts

Orion and Taurus Widefield. From a while back (I cannot lie!). But just
experimenting with quick no-frills processing of Red + Blue JPGs taken
via Baader UHC -- "Turned up the wick" to see what might be seen? 🥳

FWIW: Canon 100D + Pancake 24mm STM f/2.8 120sec ISO 1600 etc.
I do use IRIS software to remove the *gradient* via a polynomial fit. 😏

I do agree! However small, my "square stars" etc. could look better? lol 🤣

Thanks folks (the likers)! No "Picasso", but it makes made me think about
things. Mostly coming from the "8-bit old-style Video Astronomy" thing...
(I sense I should have bitten the bullet  - become a "Classical Imager"!) 😛

But I DO LIKE "wide field" images. (A previous one got me most ever
"likes" here!) For every *stretched* wide field image, I do have TEN
RAW images on disk for (eventual) DSS stacking...  I am <practicing> 🥳

Lockdown is a good time to read stuff? lol. Thinking about Red/Blue
UHC one-shot imaging here. Sadly there are no "Galaxy Filters" tho! 🙄
