Installing Polar Scope on EQ3-2

I have just purchased a polar scope to add to my son's EQ3-2 mount. It has a setting circle already attached that looks the same as the one on the EQ3 mount. Do I need to remove the one from the mount or the polar scope? It looks a bit odd with the polar scope inserted straight into the mount as there are now two circles. Any advice gratefully received.
