Sea of Crises - Celestron 130 SLT, NexImage 5, 2 x Barlow

Mosaic - Celestron 130 SLT, Canon 600D, 2 x Barlow (Not that pleased - I assume the white edge is a stacking artifact from not perfect focus and feel I have overdone the wavelets?)

Its all a learning curve :)

A victim of your earlier success!  Comparing your earlier image (I just jumped back to it again - it's a peach!), the data might not have quite been there this time (like you mentioned). Old Vs New (1:1)

Did you have a process for the wavelets that you copied for this one?

You've still got some nice detail in the new one 👍

Thanks @geeklee

I spent a large proportion of time adjusting the focus minimally, waiting for the image to come to rest., not being happy and repeating!

I couldn't agree more with regards the focus on the earlier attempt, I appear to have got it spot on. The Celestron 130 SLT is not blessed with the most sensitive focuser and despite me modding my scope to add tube rings to reduce vibration it is still a bit of a pain. I have heard the Orion motor focuser is more or less an exact fit ( https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/52520-orion-motorfusser-fit-130-nexstar-slt-out-of-the-box/ ) so may consider that modification.

As for the wavelet settings, I had not saved them but luckily I had also not closed Registax before mowing the lawn!

I should start saving the settings for each until a good combination of settings for each target.
