Coma Star Cluster

Recommended Posts

Sky cleared at around 2 this morning so i dived out at got set up.

Set the remote for 30x90sec images and went inside, popped out about 20mins later and the fog had decended. :)

Managed to get 10x90sec which is better than nowt i suppose.

Darks, flats and bias for each light frame.

Canon 350d piggybacked using 75-300mm lens at 140mm

Managed to get NGC4565 and another faint fuzzy, any ideas?its at about 8 o'clock.

NGC 4559. Which is another nice galaxy worth imaging through a 'scope, especially for all the multitude of faint background fuzzies in the field.

Nice clear presentation of the cluster, not often shown this way (is it a true cluster or an asterism?). Most people who widefield Coma go down the bottom right where all the galaxies are!

PS: I see you did this over a week ago. Guess we won't be seeing many 2am sorties in current weather!
