Sort subs M42 & running man

Bit late posting this but with the run up to xmas time is a premium.

This was purely an experimental image, I was experimenting getting the core with short subs due to the moon spoiling things. Also it was an experiment using lots of darks, flats and bias frames to cancel amp glow on the 350D.

Anyhow here's the image, quite pleased with the result using 45 second subs.

Did you do any very short subs for the core or just the 100x45? sometimes I try a short stack as a seperate layer... to try and resolve the trap stars.

Yeah I was going for the trap and unburnt core so I can add as a layer sometime to my longer exposure image

It turned out pretty good for such short subs I thought it a shame not to post it in its own right.

Even shorter subs would give more detail in the core but its all about presonal preference and balance... roll on new moon...

Crikey George, thats a bit good!

I am very surprised at how much of the faint nebulosity has shown up there with those short subs. This image will give great hope to those who dont autoguide.

Looking forward to seeing that one with the longer subs combined.
