Three from Friday: Elephant, W.Veil, and NGC 6823

Wow, a clearish night... but cold.  An evening's viewing brought to a close by freezing fog, and, strangely, two of my dew heater ports on the Eagle 2 seem to have packed up. :(

Anyway, I'm far too impatient to ever make a really nice image, so here are three not-so-great ones, from Friday, Nov 29, 2019.

  • Esprit 120ED, guided and dithered
  • ASI 294MC Pro OSC with "Quadband" filter
  • Processed (rather poorly) in PI and Starnet++

Exposures:

  1. Western Veil, 17x2 min (34 min total)
  2. Elephant's Trunk, 17x5 min (85 min total)
  3. NGC 6823, 17x5 min (total 85 min) – a new one for me

The quadband filter really seems to block out  colour from any blue stars.

Comments very welocme.

Tony
