IC 443 so far...

Hi all

I planned on gathering data on IC443, The Jellyfish Nebula for a few months then seeing what I could do with the data, It was one of the first DSO's I Imaged late last year when I finally took the plunge into mono CCD, imaging with the fabulous small but deep sensor of the Atik314l+. I Quickly caught the CCD bug and upgraded to the Atik 460 with the larger sensor and smaller pixels it matched some of my smaller telescopes I have. It started quite well a couple of months ago but frustratingly the weather has had other plans for  me of late so I got bored of waiting and started to play with the data I had.

16 hr Ha

10 hr Sii

5.5 hr Oiii

Some of the Ha and Sii subs have been acquired with a full or nearly full moon and the Nebula has been low in the atmosphere in the early shots but I haven't been brutal when deciding which subs to use and I chose to throw them all  in the mix in APP I chose to not cut the black point too much as it's a dusty region and not really black.

It's by no means an groundbreaking image. My processing skills need a lot of work and I would probably benefit by purchasing Pixinsight. but here is my image so far....

thanks for looking and I welcome criticism and or processing tips

Cheers

Bryan
