Meade 114 EQ1-B Motor Drive circa 2000

My friend recently bought a second hand Meade 114 EQ1-B reflector. Based on the print date of the manual, I reckon it's the best part of 20 years old, but seems to work well. 

My question is, is it possible to Jerry rig a modern motor drive to fit the German Equatorial Mount that it came with? I don't think there's much chance of getting an original motor drive of ebay, etc.

The Meade 114 EQ1 B seems to use a mount which is a clone of the Skywatcher EQ1. Right ascension drive motors are still available for the EQ1:

The telescope mount doesn't have a flat on the shaft, like the modern ones. It's got 2 pins located 180 degrees apart for a slotted fitting.  Examples below...
