wanting to take some long exposures using bulb setting but not able to lock shutter open. anyone out there use the same camara. cheers

You can use bulb in manual mode, but you have to hold down button for the length you want to have the exposure. However, if you have it connected to your phone (Android or Apple), you can use the Canon Connect app and connect via wifi to the camera and control to bulb off the screen from your phone, so this works a treat. I’ve used it to get longer than 30 seconds exposure no problem.
