Trails for Caz

OK - so for the first time in a while I decide to go out. Moon's a pain so pick Bode and the Cigar because I know I can get them both on the chip with the new refractor.  So, set up and start to focus.  Eeew, seeing is OK but transparency not so good... no mind, battle on anyway.  Whilst framing (binning 5 secs 6x6) I got hit by the first satellite of the night. (trail-one).  Relief!  I mean, what's the chances another one tonightin a 1 degree FOV I think.  Set the camera trotting out 5 min exposures and then, frame three comes in... *TWO* of the little *beepers* at once.  Why me I ask myself!!

Anyway, you see Caz - it happens all the time.  Well, to me at least

... and the end result is not much to shout at. Two completely different targets in one frame makes for difficult processing - one is great, then other burns out or disappears!!

lovely one Arthur , look s cracking to me mate , i have never been able to get the two on the chip , maybe try with this set up , but its a great image and the dust lanes in m81 are great ,

A way round it would be to concern yourself with one image at a time that way you could do a two image composit? just overlay the images..
