wookie1965
Can anyone help me could I take the Meade finder shoe off this and replace with a Skywatcher one easily so I can buy a 9x50 erect image finder as the Meade ones are extortionate. John
I did that when I had a Bresser 127L which is the same refractor as the Meade 127. You need a finder mount that has wider fixing holes than the standard Skywatcher one though. I used one of these: https://www.telescopehouse.com/accessories/finderscopes/dovetail-base-for-sct.html Another design that should work would be this: https://www.altairastro.com/starwave-universal-finder-mounting-shoe-bracket-unifbr.html
wookie1965
Thanks John I will look at these appreciate your help. I like the Altair one got a bit of leeway with those elongated holes.
