Nebulosity - grading frames

Hi there was out last night trying out the 355ICE colour cam

I've been grading frames in Nebulosity to stack and I've I've got a silly question! When the frames are renamed you get a "Q00-Q100" prefix i.e. Q54_orion_002.fit

My question is which is better quality, the higher or lower value?

Can't find it in the manual either... :scratch: Anyone know?

Never used nebulosity but if it was me I'd do 2 stacks of 10 frames, 1 stack from each end of the scale and see what comes out best.

I've done 10x RAW frames of each channel but they are so similar I can't tell the difference visually...

Typical Although that's not necessarily a bad thing, it could mean that they are all good images? Maybe you could skew the curve and take a deliberately flawed image, turn the tracking off or tap the OTA while its taking the image and see how it grades that compared to 'good' images of the same target?

Yep I'll have to give that a go. I think the higher the number the worse the images are but I'd better make sure one way or the other !

The lower the Q number, the better.
