registax version 4 error list index out of bounds/ scan line error

I'm just starting with registax4. When I try stacking my rather low contrast daylight images of the moon I keep getting error messages first scaj line error with single point stacking then index out of bounds at the optimise stage when I tried automatic multipoint selection. The final image looked like it had been sliced up like a cake with misaligned segments any ideas?

Are you stacking an Avi or individual images?

Use the largest alignment box you can with low contrast Avi’s.

I've no idea about the error message Nick but those "slices" usually occur when multipoint is used and there is too much movement in the frames for them all to be stacked correctly. Have you tried either less points or only one point?
