CEM60 unable to connect to PC

Hello,

yesterday the CEM60 arrived at my doorstep and today I tried connecting it to my pc and it won't recognize the mount through the IOptron Commander.

 

Things I tried so far:

port on Handcontroller, port on mount -> no connection

Win 10 PC , Win 8 Laptop -> same problem on both

Different USB to Serial converters with FTDI -> no connection

Net Framework 4 is installed

latest drivers from IOptron website are installed

tried upgrading firmware, the upgrade utility can connect to the Handcontroller, but not to the mount

 

Do I have a broken port on my mount?

I tried the Commander version 3.11, 5.4 and 5.6. If I try downloading v4.0 from the forum link I only get a 0kb .exe file.

Still no connection to the mount. Tried upgrading the handcontroller firmware.

Upgrade utility starts, then it becomes unresponsive and fails the update, both on a Win8 and Win10 machine.

 

I'm really frustrated and tempted to just send it back and go for a NEQ6 Pro.
