1st ever moon mosaic

Had a shot with a merging program called  IMerge to try doing a mosaic of the moon and finishing it off in Photoshop not a bad result really.

Only problem is the IMerge program seems to like FITS files so had to convert them using DSS and the outcome was very bright with RGB levels all over the place.

Just a little trial and error to kill some boredom in these very late light nights while my QHY8L is still in HongKong awaiting repair/results.

Nice image - I've used Microsoft ICE for stitching images in the past and it worked pretty well and was very easy to use.....not that I am an expert though, just image the moon every now and then when I get the urge!
