Replacing Meade finderscope shoe with a vixen type

Hi I want to remove the original finderscope shoe from my Meade Lx90 emc and replace it with a vixen type shoe.Would anyone know if the screws just come out or are they held captive with nuts in the scope? thanks

They just screw out, the case itself is threaded....

Which shoe did you fit?

A standard Skywatcher vixen foot, the two oblong holes were a tad too close together on the foot, so had to file them a touch bigger to fit the Meade tube holes....it’s perfect now..
