Orion starshoot G3 colour or Dslr

Thinking about getting the orion starshoot G3 colour.

Will the results be better/different from my unmodded Canon 650d? 

At the moment setup is

SW200P, NEQ6PRO, Orion mini guider and Canon 650d 

Any advice?

Difficult to answer this one as the two cameras are very different and so much depends on what you are hoping to achieve but here are the major differences:-

Pros

1. No savage IR filter to attenuate the red signal

2. Simple computer control

Cons

1. Much smaller sensor (7.40mm x 5.95mm  against 22.3mm × 14.9mm for the 650D) This is a BIG difference in the field of view with your telescope:-

   76.7 x 51.2 arcminutes for the 650D
   25.4 x 20.5 arcminutes for the G3
