As I was browsing through orions webcams, I saw that a 1.3mp camera costs $70. The (software enhanced? What does that mean?)5mp Logitech c310 I have modified costs only $30. Is it really better than the commercial one? Or is there a catch in the 'software enhanced'?

I believe the Logitech C310 has a sensor with 1280x720 pixel resolution (about 1 Mpixel) and the software enhancement refers to software increasing the apparent resolution up to 5 Mpixel. So it's not a true 5 Mpixel webcam.

Ah, I see. So you get about equivalent quality.
