Shroud material for trusses

Hi all,

I'm looking to try and find some suitable material for making a shroud (or pair) for my double truss rebuild that I'm getting close to completing - scope is up, mounted and pretty much there bar the wiring and so on.

Any recommendations for material to make the shroud out of?

I've looked at this stuff from Fabric Land (https://www.fabricland.co.uk/product/black-lycra-spandex-velvet-velour/#1465909659619-64b1c54a-d912) and it's OK, though would possibly need a double layer to fully exclude light. (Will be using this for imaging so it needs to block light coming into the camera through the trusses). Just wondered if there was anything better than any DIYers have experience of?

Cheers

We used a neoprene blend b/c we needed to try to block body heat as well for strictly visual observing

But if I did it again I'd use a heavier weight. There's still some residual light getting through. Otherwise, this is a great fabric--it drapes so naturally that it nary needs any attachment support. It's like a wonder fabric, and so far is the only material we've tried that doesn't eventually sag into our light path.
