M97 Owl nebula

Red meteor

Recommended Posts

I chose M97 as a target to take advantage of scarce clear sky when there was a bright moon. It is fairly bright to fight the moon LP. I has taken several sessions to complete and ideal conditions they were not.

Thanks for the feedback Olly.

I did try hdr and sharpening but it just created additional noise. Narrow band is the next step but the filters are a substantial investment and my policy is to get the most out the gear I have before moving on. I am booked to see the USA eclipse so the budget is accounted for the near future.
